Hashmatullah Shahidi I Afghanistan Captain: Very happy with the way the team played. Looking forward to other games. Honestly, I was working hard on myself. And my fielding. Hopefully, I will continue my standards on the field. Our bowlers bowled really well. We bowled economically and bowled good line and lengths. Rahmat and Gurbaz batted well. Gurbaz got a good ball. I wasn't happy with Rahmat as he threw his wicket away. Rahmat is a senior guy. He should have finished it.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz I Bangladesh Captain: I think we lost many wickets in the first 15 overs. Was difficult to bat here. Towhid played well and handled the situation well. At the end, we didn't get a partnership. We have two matches left. We have an opportunity to get better. We did some mistakes but we will learn from these. I have confidence that boys will bounce back. We were 40 runs short. If we could have gotten to 260, we had a good bowling attack to stop them. We didn't get that partnership at the end.

Bangladesh were looking good with the bat once. But Afghanistan staged a comeback with the ball and then Gurbaz and Rahmat took over. They got out after scoring their fifties. Bangladesh tried to squeeze in a few overs. But Azmatullah after taking his time played a few big shots. That brought down the rate and Shahidi supported him well. Nabi came in and provided the finishing touches. Bangladesh would feel they left a few runs with the bat and that didn't help.
